2 years full time childcare experience plus a childcare qualification
4 years full time childcare experience if no qualification is held

Professional Childcare Qualifications: Irish nannies may hold any of the following qualifications:
B.A Early Childhood Care and Education
Montessori/Primary level teaching qualifications
FETAC Level 5 or Level 6 in Childcare
CACHE Diploma in Childcare
NNEB; City & Guilds; or NCEA/NCVA
These courses are usually for 1 – 2 years full time, part time or by correspondence.
Nannies from Overseas hold similar qualifications to Irish Nannies.
Nanny Role/Duties:
The main priority is to stimulate and encourage the child’s emotional, intellectual, physical, social and language development
Typical duties:
Taking the children to and from playgroups/schools
Organising play-dates/additional activities and outings
Arts and crafts
Preparation of childrens’ meals
Children’s laundry and ironing
Maintaining children’s bedroom and play area
Attending doctor/dental appointments

Our Nanny Pack:
All permanent nannies placed by Nanny Solutions receive a “Nanny pack”. A useful handbook for parents and nannies, including Health & Safety information and local activity information for nannies.
Nanny Visit:
We visit the nanny at work in the family home approx 12 weeks after they commence employment
Nanny Share
Two families employ one professional nanny and they share the hours, divide the salary and other costs between them. The families decide on how the week is set up.
