Au Pair

Our Au Pairs

Age range 19 – 30 years

Generally European students in Ireland to learn English

They may attend Language Classes daily

When they register with Parenting Solutions each Au Pair must attend our compulsory “Introduction to First Aid” course before being placed with a Host family.

The Au Pair acts a second pair of hands for parents and will help with the children and light housework

Some Au Pair+ will have previous babysitting or even childcare experience

If “Live-in”, the Host family must provide a bedroom with TV etc for the Au Pair

 

Au Pair Duties:

Taking the children to and from playgroups/schools

Organising play dates/additional activities and outings

Arts and crafts and other activities

Preparation of childrens’ meals and sometimes family meals

Children’s laundry and ironing

Maintaining children’s bedroom, play area, kitchen area

Our Au Pair Pack:

All Au Pairs placed by Parenting Solutions receive an “Au Pair pack”.    A useful handbook for parents and au pairs, including Health & Safety information and local activity information for au pairs
